Six officers held over mayor's killing

Mexican authorities yesterday said six police officers had been arrested over the killing of a mayor in the northern state of Nuevo Leon.

The suspects were said to include the security guard of Mayor Edelmiro Cavazos, whose body was found outside the town of Santiago. He had been kidnapped with the guard, who was later set free.
