Site sells off more homes

A NEW batch of apartments has gone on sale as the development of the former site of the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary continues.

The two-bedroom apartments, which start at 185,000, are within the new 'Celesta' building at Quartermile, which was designed by architects Foster & Partners.

It is the latest phase of the massive development, with the company behind the project saying it enjoyed its best ever month of sales in February.

Lorraine Paterson, sales and marketing director for Gladedale Capital, said: "2010 has been a great year for us so far, with February being our most successful month since the development opened back in 2006."

The luxury development is already home to more than 200 residents.
