Sir Tom takes his hat off to graduates

Sir Tom Farmer, Queen Margaret University's founding chancellor, was on hand to help lead the honours yesterday.

Sir Tom handed out the honorary doctorates to chef Albert Roux, Sir Garth Morrison, Lord Lieutenant for East Lothian and former Chief Scout, and Professor Alison Tierney, editor-in-chief of the Journal of Advanced Nursing.

It was the first graduation event for students who have completed an entire honours degree at the new Craighall campus.
