Sir Sean voted shexiest male pensioner in UK

FORMER James Bond star Sir Sean Connery has been voted the UK's sexiest male pensioner, a survey showed today.

Just over half the people questioned voted Edinburgh-born Connery as the sexiest man in the UK who was old enough to draw a pension, more than double the 19 per cent who voted for Star Trek's Patrick Stewart, who came second.

Actor Sir Anthony Hopkins came in third place, followed by fellow actor Sir Michael Caine and singer Sir Cliff Richard.

At the other end of the scale, broadcaster Sir David Frost was deemed to be the UK's least sexy pensioner, receiving even fewer votes than horse racing commentator John McCririck and television presenter Sir Jimmy Savile.

Actress Dame Helen Mirren was voted the UK's sexist female pensioner, receiving 21 per cent of the vote, narrowly beating former Bond girl Honor Blackman at 19 per cent.

Actresses Dame Diana Rigg, Julie Christie and Joan Collins all made it into the top five.

Baroness Thatcher topped the poll for the least sexy pensioner in the UK, closely followed by Esther Rantzen and Coronation Street star Barbara Knox.

Tickbox.net questioned 2423 people during April.
