Sir Elton John says sorry for 'naughty word'

Sir Elton John has apologised after swearing on air during an appearance on the Radio 2 breakfast show.

The programme's host, Chris Evans, was telling the star that Jools Holland starts the day by playing the piano, when he sighed and said: "Oh f****** hell".

The pair both said sorry and the veteran singer then apologised again for saying "that naughty word".

Sir Elton also said the long-planned film about his life would be "a kind of fantasy".

It is not the first time guests have turned the air blue during an interview with Evans. The BBC apologised in 2009 after George Michael swore during his radio show and Shaun Ryder swore during an appearance on the Channel 4 TFI Friday TV show.
