Sir David hails seabird centre

Naturalist and broadcaster Sir David Attenborough has congratulated the Scottish Seabird Centre in North Berwick after it landed a top award for the third time.

The attraction has again won the Queen’s Award for Enterprise for its environmental work, having landed the title in 2004 and 2009.

Sir David said: “The Scottish Seabird Centre has pioneered some truly thrilling ways to give everyone insights into the dramatic lives of our seabirds. It richly deserves this prestigious award.”

Tom Brock, CEO of the centre, said: “We are absolutely thrilled to have been awarded this prestigious accolade.”
