The Edinburgh-born retired track cyclist, Britain’s most successful Olympian, will be the special guest at the ScotSoft dinner, being held at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre on 6 October alongside the annual young software engineer of the year awards.

ScotSoft will bring together more than 1,000 chief executives, decision makers and developers from the private and public sectors, with its developers’ conference running for a full day to cope with demand.

ScotlandIS chief executive Polly Purvis said: “The Scottish digital technologies industry is thriving and that is reflected in the calibre of speakers at this year’s event. ScotSoft is the largest event of its kind in Scotland and it’s fantastic to see it going from strength to strength.”
