Singer faces sex charges

A SINGER from the Capital has appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court charged with seven offences, including three under the Sexual Offences Act and one under the Protection of Children and Prevention of Sexual Offences Act.

Craig McMurdo, 48, made a brief appearance in private before Sheriff Nigel Morrison QC yesterday and made no plea or declaration. The case was continued for further inquiry.

McMurdo was released on bail under special conditions.

McMurdo has played to audiences around the globe for almost 20 years.
