ENTRIES have been opened for next year's Bupa Great Edinburgh Run.

The 10km running event, which has moved from its traditional date in May to Sunday October 2, will follow the same course as this year, starting and finishing in Holyrood Park.

Lynsey Stephenson of organisers Nova International said: "Autumn is a very popular time for running and we feel the time is right for the run to have a more prominent space in the Scottish running calendar."

The day also features the Bupa Junior and Mini Great Edinburgh Runs.
