Sick Kids picked as run’s local charity

THE BUPA Great Edinburgh Run has announced the Sick Kids Friends Foundation as the official charity of the 2011 event.

The event on 2 October will see thousands of competitors taking part to support a raft of worthy causes. The foundation supports the work of the Royal Hospital for Sick Children in Edinburgh, which treats more than 100,000 patients each year.
