Show support to hero troops

MEMBERS of the public are being asked to come out in support of the city's troops as they return from a six-month tour of Afghanistan.

Soldiers from the 3rd Battalion The Rifles, which includes a company from the Royal Scots Borderers, 1st Battalion The Royal Regiment of Scotland, will parade down the Royal Mile on 8 May.

On 7 May, tributes will be paid to those soldiers who have lost their lives in battle with a service at Colinton Parish Church, followed by the dedication of a memorial garden at Redford Barracks.
