Short breaks facility opens
THE ribbon was set to be cut today on a new short breaks service offering support to adults with learning difficulties.
City councillor Paul Edie was due to officially open the new eight-bed facility in Firrhill.
The centre will provide short stays for 60 people throughout the year.

Hide AdThe aim is to offer users the opportunity to socialise in new surroundings while providing respite for their families and carers.
Cllr Edie, health and social care leader, said: "Caring for someone is a demanding, and difficult job and both the cared for person and their families can benefit immensely from these short breaks."
