A MAN had a lucky escape after the car he was driving collided with a tree.

The accident took place on West Shore Road shortly after noon yesterday. The roof of the Volvo was removed by firefighters to free the man, who was in his sixties.
Police said the driver attended the ERI but was not seriously injured.
