Shops to motor into former car showroom

QUEENSFERRY Road could soon be home to a new mini-shopping centre.

Arnold Clark Automobiles aims to convert its former car showroom and workshop on Queensferry Road, at the junction of Parkgrove Avenue, into a new five-unit shopping centre and dental surgery.

A potential occupier has already been identified for the new surgery facility.

A company spokesman said: "The Edinburgh local plan sets out a network of existing and proposed shopping centres.

The proposed new local centre on the Arnold Clark site is being promoted as an addition to the existing network."
