Shoppers put £7000 in bag

Customers at supermarkets helped to raise more than £7000 for Children in Need.

Asda stores in Edinburgh revealed they raised 7820 towards this year's BBC Children in Need appeal.

Stores at Edinburgh, Chesser, Leith and Livingston gave away special Bake-the-Bear cookie cutters so families could get cooking Pudsey biscuits to sell and raise funds.

Fiona Campbell-Reilly, Asda head of community, said: "We're absolutely delighted at how much money we've managed to raise. I'd like to thank our customers and colleagues."
