Shop sells to under-agers

AN Uphall shop has had its alcohol licence suspended for three months.

Police requested that West Lothian Licensing Board review the licence of Shopsmart following three sales of alcohol to under-age children.

A police spokesperson said: "This should serve as a warning to other retailers that police will take action if they do not apply stringent controls to the sale of alcohol."
