Sheeran gives wannabe stars an Ed start

CHART star Ed Sheeran is inspiring budding musicians across the Lothians who are auditioning for a place in a 
performance company.

Youth Music Theatre is holding auditions in the Capital next month as part of a nationwide search for talented stars of the future.

English singer-songwriter Sheeran – who once auditioned for the group and is now its patron – last year won two Brit Awards for Best British Male Solo Artist and British Breakthrough of the Year.

He said: “With YMT I experienced the buzz of being on stage and realised how much I love performing.

“I say go and audition – you don’t know where it could take you.”

Sessions start from 9.30am on February 10 at Dance Base in the Grassmarket.
