Sex-case teacher may avoid life sentence

A MUSIC teacher who used the internet to prey on young boys for sex may avoid a life sentence after being was assessed as posing a "medium" risk.

Andrew Kingsley, 23, was caught after one victim's parents discovered messages on their 12-year-old son's computer and went to the police.

Kingsley, formerly of Dunfermline and latterly of Alloa, who taught at a high school in Fife, admitted 31 indecency offences involving 16 boys aged 12-15. Most of the charges were of grooming, but he also committed a serious sexual offence against one boy, and indulged in sex acts with others.

He was again remanded in custody and awaits sentencing.
