Sex attack witness plea

POLICE want to speak to two men who may have seen a sex attack victim shortly before she was assaulted.

The 31-year-old woman was knocked unconscious during the attack in Stockbridge, which happened as she walked home between 9pm and 11pm on Friday.The woman, who raised the alarm after she regained consciousness, last remembers walking along Saunders Street at around 9pm on Friday.

She was later found by family members on the path under McKenzie Bridge but has no idea how she got there.

Detective Chief Inspector John McKenzie said: "This is an unprovoked attack on a defenceless woman."
