Serving up some lovely grubs

A MENU of insects and invasive species was being served up to Kirsty Smith and Joshua Smythe as this year’s Science Festival was launched at the National Museum.

The festival, which runs for two weeks from March 23, is celebrating its 25th anniversary with a host of features, including food from the future. A three-storey balloon sculpture from New-York based artist Jason Hackenwerth will be one of the main highlights of a spectacle billed by organisers as the biggest and best to date.
