Service for tragic Olivia

A FUNERAL service for Scots schoolgirl Olivia Dewar is to be held in the Capital on Thursday.

Olivia, 17, was left in a coma after being seriously injured in a car crash in Bahrain last year. She died in hospital on March 16.

The teenager had only moved to the country months before with her family, as her father Gordon Dewar, former managing director of Edinburgh Airport, had taken over as chief executive of Bahrain Airport.

A funeral service will be held at Mortonhall Crematorium Main Chapel, on Thursday, March 24, at noon, to which all friends and family are welcome.

The family have asked that anyone wishing to make a donation should make it to the Headway charity, which works to improve life after brain injury.
