Serious Aberdeen nightclub attack prompts appeal

Police appealing for information after a serious nightclub attack in Aberdeen have released CCTV images of a man they wish to trace.

The 21-year-old victim of the attack within the Pearl Lounge club in the city’s Dee Street was left with significant facial injuries as a result.

The assault occurred at 2am on Sunday, 2 June, and police are renewing their appeal for information, releasing a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to in connection with their enquiries.

The man is described as being a small-built white male, in his early 20s, of around 5 ft 6” in height with brown coloured collar-length hair.

He was wearing a blue denim shirt, possibly with beige coloured trousers. He was wearing dark-coloured footwear.

Investigating Officer Constable Norman McGlashan, from the Alcohol & Violence Reduction Unit said: “Although several months ago, this serious incident resulted in a male sustaining a severe injury.

“I appeal to anyone who thinks they may recognise the male pictured, to the male himself or to anyone who has knowledge of this incident to come forward and contact the Police.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact the Police Service of Scotland on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 if you wish to remain anonymous.
