Seconds out for Princes Street Gardens' clock launch

Edinburgh's floral clock in Princes Street Gardens is set to kick off this year's Britain in Bloom competition.

More than 30,000 plants were cultivated by staff at the Inch Nursery for the eye-catching clock, which took two men five weeks to complete.

This year the clock, which is in place from July until October, pays tribute to Action and Hearing Loss, formerly the Royal Institute for Deaf People, which is celebrating its 100th anniversary.
