Secondary teachers reject pay deal

SECONDARY teachers are the latest to reject a new pay deal offered by local authorities.

Members of the Scottish Secondary Teachers' Association have rejected an offer that would see cuts in teachers' salary and conditions, with an indicative ballot showing 61 per cent would consider industrial action, including a strike.
