Second user is poisoned

A SECOND drug user in the Lothians has been infected following a recent outbreak of anthrax poisoning.

It takes the total number of Scots diagnosed with the disease to 39, with 12 having died.

The Lothians health board had been one of the last in the country to be affected by the problem.

Health Protection Scotland warned heroin users to steer clear of the drug.
