Second shop in store for fashion brand

A FASHION retailer is to open its second Scottish store in the Capital.

Outdoor and lifestyle retailer Joules is to move into the former White Stuff store on George Street, which became vacant after the store moved into a larger unit on the same street.

Joules is opening the new store following the success of its existing operation in St Andrews.

The retailer, which started selling country clothing at county shows and now has stores across the UK and a large online operation, has taken over the lease of the store at 27 George Street.

It will pay a rent of 65,000 a year.

Isla Monteith, of property firm Cushman & Wakefield, which acted for White Stuff, said: "George Street is continuing to see high demand from upmarket retailers and Joules is a great addition."
