Second man charged in connection with alleged Jock's Lodge shooting

POLICE have arrested a second man in connection with an alleged shooting at the Jocks Lodge pub in Edinburgh.

Lothian and Borders Police confirmed today that a 20-year-old man has been charged in connection with the incident which took place on Sunday evening.

The man will appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court later today.

The 24-year-old victim of the alleged shooting was taken to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary for treatment to wounds to his legs and was later released.

Today's arrest comes after Dean Scott, 27, was appeared in court yesterday in relation to the incident.

He has been charged with intent to murder and attempted murder and an offence under the Firearms Act.

Scott made no plea or declaration and was remanded in custody.
