Second man charged after alleged pub shooting

A SECOND man has been arrested and charged in connection with an alleged shooting and stabbing incident at the city's Jock's Lodge pub.

The 20-year-old was arrested following an incident at the bar on Sunday night.

He was set to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court today.

On Wednesday afternoon, another man appeared at the court in connection with the incident, which saw 24-year-old James Carlin injured.

Dean Scott, 27, faced charges of assault with intent to murder and attempted murder when he appeared from custody and in private. He was also accused of an offence under the Firearms Act 1968.

Scott, of Edinburgh, made no plea or declaration and his case was continued.

Sheriff Fiona Reith QC remanded him into custody.
