Search on for fisherman

THE search resumed today for a fisherman missing after his boat collided with the Rosyth passenger ferry off the Berwickshire coast.

The fisherman was one of two people on board the Homeland fishing vessel, believed to be from Blyth near Newcastle, when it hit the Scottish Viking heading for Zeebrugge four miles off St Abbs. One of the men was pulled from the water by another fishing boat after the accident happened shortly before 8pm.

A rescue helicopter from RAF Boulmer and lifeboats from Dunbar, Eyemouth and St Abbs were all involved in the search along with 15 fishing vessels.
