Search launched for missing Aberdeen woman

A LAND and sea search resumed this morning for a 49 year-old woman who has gone missing in Aberdeen.

Carole Corbett was reported missing on Thursday night after last being seen in the Berryden area of the city. She is also known to frequent the Newtonhill area on the Aberdeenshire coastline.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: “Police are anxious to trace Carole as she has a medical condition for which she requires to take medication.”

On Thursday night an RAF Sea King search and rescue helicopter, Aberdeen lifeboat, Police search teams and the Aberdeen and Stonehaven Coastguard rescue teams were involved in the search for the missing woman. The search has resumed today involving coastal search teams.

Ms Corbett is described as 5ft 5ins tall, of medium build with short dark hair.The Police Scotland spokesman said: “Anyone with information regarding Carole’s whereabouts is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101.”
