ScottishPower Foundation to fund eighteen new scholars

Over the past six years the ScottishPower Foundation, in partnership with its Spanish equivalent the Fundacion Iberdrola, has invested £2.5 million towards the education of young professionals through its national Scholarship programme.

The programme, which was launched in 2010 as part of ScottishPower’s significant investment in research and education, works in partnership with the UK’s top Universities to support graduates with the capabilities required to lead the energy industry into the future. Since its inauguration, the scheme has supported 72 energy and engineering students from across the UK.

Scholarships are open to degree-holders and graduates in energy and environment related studies with a particular focus on the development of renewable, efficient energy systems and biodiversity. This year’s deadline for applications is Tuesday, 29 March at 12 noon.
