The 35-year-old was accused of barging into Stacey Gardiner’s home and using abusive language before kicking over a television.

But the case was thrown out after Gardiner, 31, admitted that she could not remember “half” of the 999 call she had made on December 30.

Despite telling officers she had been “in the kitchen shaking with fear”, Gardiner told Glasgow Sherrif Court that she was not comfortable with the statement made to the police after the incident.

Sherrif Alayne Swanson said she had “considerable doubt” about the charges.

When prosecutor Pat Callander asked Gardiner what had happened at the house, Gardiner replied: “I can’t recall. It’s a bit of a blur.”

She added that she would have had no reason to lie to police, saying: “I wouldn’t have been lying, no, but I don’t remember what I said.”

Harrison’s lawyer later asked her if she was comfortable with the statement she had given.

Gardiner replied: “No, I’m not - I dn’t remember saying half of it.”

Harrison was cleared of breaching bail conditions by making a visit to his partner’s house and making threats of violence towards her.
