Katherine Wright, head of ceramics and glass at Bonhams, said: “Jacobite glasses are prized for their history and the air of intrigue which surrounds them. They date from the years following the first Jacobite rebellion in 1715 and were decorated with secret symbols of support for the Stuart pretenders to the British throne.”
The sale takes place on August 29 and 30 after a public viewing of the lots from August 26.
