Scotland’s fattest hedgehog slims down after diet
The hedgehog, named Edinburgh, hit the headlines during the summer when she was confirmed to weigh 2.3kgs - meaning she was too fat to roll up.
But staff at the Wormit hedgehog rescue centre, run by Sandy Boyd have seen the hedgehog slim down after putting her on a strict diet.

Hide AdEdinburgh weighed barely 400 grammes when she was rescued in the Scottish capital around 12 months ago. But efforts by the centre staff to increase her weight saw the hedgehog balloon in size after she put away pounds of cat food during her rehabilitation.
Sandy, 74, restricted her to one bowl of worms a day, along with plenty of exercise, and the portly creature is now looking considerably more svelte.
