Schoolgirl knocked down by unmarked Police car

A TEENAGE schoolgirl has been taken to hospital suffering from facial, leg and arm injuries after being knocked down by an unmarked Police car in Dundee.

The 13 year old female pedestrian was rushed by the city’s Ninewells Hospital following the accident this afternoon in the city’s Longtown Road.

A spokesman for the Dundee Division of Police Scotland said the accident had happened around 3.45pm on Longtown Road, near its junction with Longtown Street.

He said: “An unmarked motor car being driver by a Police Officer was in collision with a 13 year old female pedestrian. The pedestrian suffered facial, arm and leg injuries and was taken by ambulance to Ninewells Hospital for treatment. Her injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

Police Scotland ask that anyone who was in the area at the time and may have witnessed the incident to contact them by phoning 101 or speaking to any Police Officer. “
