Schoolboy robbed at knifepoint by man on bike

A 14-year-old schoolboy has been robbed at knifepoint in Dundee, police said.

The teenager was walking along a cycle path between Balunie Drive and Drumgeith Road in the city when he was approached by a man on a bike at around 6.45pm yesterday.

The man then produced a knife and threatened the boy before stealing all of his possessions.

The youngster was unhurt but was left shaken and upset, a Tayside Police spokeswoman said.

Police said the man is white, in his 20s and around 5ft 8in and of slim build. He was wearing a black tracksuit and made off towards Drumgeith Road after the attack.

Officers want to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident.
