School staff take on trek

SIX members of staff from an Edinburgh primary school are taking part in the Caledonian Challenge this weekend.

Pupils and teachers at St Joseph’s RC Primary School have raised more than £2500 for the Scottish Community Foundation. To raise the funds, two male teachers shaved their heads at school assemblies, and coffee mornings and raffles were also held in the school.

The classic 54-mile Caledonian Challenge starts at Gairlochy, north of Fort William, finishing at Auchtertyre, in the Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park.
