School speed checks

POLICE carried out a week of speeding checks outside Sciennes Primary School after complaints from parents and teachers about motorists in the area.

A police spokesman said "several" drivers were issued with fixed penalty notices for minor traffic offences during the initiative at the Sciennes Road school.
