School pair for Olympics

A SCHOOL in West Lothian is set to have two representatives at the Olympics.

Inveralmond Community High pupil Blair Strachan has been selected as national technical official for handball.

Statistician Blair, who is one of six officials selected from Scotland along with his parents, is a coach for Livingston Handball Club and helps coach at the West Lothian Handball Academy.

Meanwhile, home economics teacher at the Livingston school, Olwyn Roy, will be a tennis line judge. She has officiated at UK tournaments, the Australian Open in 1988, the Beijing Paralympics in 2008 and the Commonwealth Games in India in 2010.
