Saudis to ban books backing terrorism

Saudi Arabia's Education Ministry plans to remove books deemed to encourage terrorism or defame other faiths from school libraries.

An official said yesterday a book review committee will begin work soon.

The EU and US have long pressured Saudi Arabia to crack down on writings believed to encourage terrorism.
