Satisfactory 'not enough'

CHILD protection in Edinburgh has to improve, says city council chief executive Tom Aitchison.

Her Majesty's Inspectorate of Education rated the Capital 'satisfactory', but Mr Aitchison said he wants it to improve.

He said: "The aspiration of the Child Protection Committee, which has been endorsed by the council and partner agencies, is to accelerate the pace of change and improvement to reach a minimum of 'good' by the time of the next round of inspections within three years."
