Satellite keeps an eye on space debris

A US satellite designed to monitor dangers from space debris near the Earth was launched from Vandenberg Air Force Base in California.

The Space Based Space Surveillance satellite is designed to detect debris, satellites and other space objects that could be a threat to national security, communications and weather satellites.
