Salmond sends wedding wish

FIRST Minister Alex Salmond sent his best wishes to Scotland's youngest MSP as she prepares to tie the knot today.

Aileen Campbell, 29, was set to marry sweetheart Fraser White in a small ceremony this afternoon.

The wedding will take place in Collace Kirk in Perthshire, close to where the Nationalist South of Scotland MSP grew up and beside her childhood school.

Ms Campbell, who now lives in Biggar, met Mr White – who is originally from Lerwick in Shetland – when she was a student at Glasgow University.

The First Minister, who won't attend the ceremony, said: "I would like to take the opportunity to wish Aileen and Fraser my very best wishes for the big day and for a happy future together."
