Safety group helps charity

A GROUP which promotes safety for motorcyclists has raised money for the neuroscience unit at the Western General.

Safety campaign Around the Corner raised 750 for the Clinical Neurosciences Unit after a raffle at the Scottish Motorcycle Show.

Around the Corner is a partnership between Lothian and Borders Police's road policing branch, road safety unit, Lothian and Borders Safety Camera Partnership and Scottish Borders Council.

Deputy Chief Constable Steve Allen, of Lothian and Borders Police, said: "Our campaign is about encouraging leisure bikers to develop their skills and ride safely. We were delighted at the support given by our sponsors and the bikers who took part."
