Ryanair breaks through 8m barrier

NO-FRILLS airline Ryanair broke through the 8 million passenger mark last month for the first time, it was announced yesterday. The Irish airline carried a record 8.1 million passengers in July.

This was 6 per cent up on the July 2010 total of 7.6 million and beat Ryanair's previous monthly record of 7.8 million set in August 2010.
