Rust blasts Leith Docks plans

CITY council chiefs were today criticised for "leaving people in the dark" about plans to regenerate the Leith Docks area.

The Evening News revealed last week that landowner Forth Ports is now planning to focus on renewable energy opportunities rather than its residential and retail developments.

Councillor Jason Rust, economic development spokesman for the Tory group at the council, said: "The council has left people in the dark as to alternative plans for that area."
