Runs, walks and toddles for charity

A BUSY schedule of charity Christmas happenings is planned for the Capital next month.

Challenge Scotland Christmas events will be taking place in Inverleith Park and the Royal Botanic Gardens Edinburgh.

The Edinburgh Christmas events include a six-mile walk and a five-kilometre run, as well as the golden tinsel mile walk and the Santa toddle, which is suitable for youngsters and families.

The fun kicks off with the Christmas run at 9.30am, on Sunday, December 5, and continues throughout the day with a visit from Santa at Inverleith Park to take part in the toddles.

The events will raise money for Barnardo's Scotland and a number of other charities.

Barnardo's Scotland works directly with more than 10,000 children, young people and their families in some 60 specialised projects.
