Runaway Highland cow stops traffic

A HIGHLAND cow brought motorway traffic to a standstill yesterday after it escaped from an abattoir.

Police closed access roads leading to the Keir Roundabout south of Dunblane at around 11am after abattoir staff from a nearby site contacted officers. Police said roads leading to the roundabout reopened at 12:10pm after the cow was shot in a field.
