Royal kirk to shut for week

CANONGATE Kirk is to close for a week in advance of the wedding of Zara Phillips and Mike Tindall.

The church will be closed from July 25 ahead of the July 30 wedding of the Queen's granddaughter and the English rugby star, reportedly for security measures to be put in place.

The Queen attended a service at the church yesterday.
