Rocking horse robber hunt

Police are hunting thieves who have made off with a hand-made rocking horse worth thousands of pounds.

The solid oak toy, which stands nearly 5ft high and 6ft long, with a real horse-hair mane and tail, was taken from East Gogar Farm in Blairlogie, near Stirling.

Central Scotland Police said the horse, which was made to order in Kent and is worth 5,000, was stolen some time between June 1 and August 1.

A spokeswoman said: "The horse has a leather saddle and a metal plaque on the front beam with the inscription 'For Alistair and Rachel Love Mum and Dad Xmas 2002'.
